IFIP runs academic conferences each year and previous organisers of the event had spent much time producing documents for the event as part of the event management. They wished to give access to these documents to future organisers of the event to help them out and ease some of the burden of organising an IFIP conference.

We provided them with a document repository where they can now upload documents and write descriptive articles about them or their use as part of the event life cycle. Access to the documents may be controlled by them in a number of ways - using various access level groups available through the system. The documents were also edited to generalise them so that they were not specific to the year and location which they were first used for. The system also allows tracking of the documents so that if, in future, the clients wish to know which documents are more popular that data will be available to them.
